Houston Professional Firefighters Association

In July 2017, the Houston Professional Firefighters Association hired Texas Petition Strategies to conduct a petition drive on their behalf.  They were petitioning the City of Houston to negotiate a new contract to more fairly compensate their members.  In a matter of days over 52,000 signatures of City of Houston residents were collected; 32,000 signatures were verified as being City of Houston registered voters and therefore valid signatures.  From start to finish the project lasted less than 2 weeks and on July 17, 2017  the 52,000 signatures were turned in to the City of Houston’s City Secretary.

Lubbock Chamber of Commerce

In 2009, Texas Petition was contacted by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce to conduct a local option petition for the entire county.  This petition was for all alcohol off premise and paved the way to end a decades old monopoly by the liquor industry in Lubbock County.  Up until 2009 off premise liquor sales was permitted in a small precinct just south of the City of Lubbock widely known as “The Strip.”  On the first day of the petition drive Lubbock County voters stood in line to sign the petition and the signatures were gathered in record time.  The subsequent successful election leveled the playing field for alcohol sales throughout the County.
